Nathan Roscoe Pound (October 27, 1870 – June 30, 1964) was an American legal scholar and educator. He served as Dean of the University of Nebraska College of Law from 1903 to 1911 and Dean of Harvard Law School from 1916 to 1936. He was a member of the faculty at UCLA School of Law in the school's early years, from 1949 to 1952. George A. Brownell (b. 1898) was the personal representative of President Truman to India and the Middle East in 1946, and to Mexico in 1949. He served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force in 1950, and as a consultant to the State Department from 1946 to 1947. Brownell died in 1984.
